The Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences has many forgotten stories in its Archives. Stories of madcap adventures in all corners of the Empire, dark doings in hidden places, and mysterious devices and artifacts that the everyday citizen should never become aware of for fear it would quite undo their minds.
In this episode:
All That Glitters — by Dan Rabarts
Preservation Inlet, Fiordland, New Zealand
Agents Lachlan King and Barry Ferguson are called to an isolated mining town to investigate the disappearance of a young Chinese girl. They found the town all but abandoned, and as they descend into the realm of Ruaumoko, the Maori god of earthquakes they find an explosive situation that will test both agents and their equipment sorely.
Featuring Grant Stone as Agent Lachlan.
About the Author:
Dan is a writer of fantasy novels and speculative fiction, sometime narrator of podcasts (including stories for the Hugo award-winning StarShipSofa), occasional sailor of sailing things, and father of two wee miracles in a little house on a hill, under the southern sun. You can find him on Twitter from time to time, and on Facebook now and then. He’d hang out there more often but really, he’s got writing to do.
Theme music for the Ministry composed and created by Alex White.
